ANNA!

That is kind of how I imagine my family when they hear of this. My sister was shocked beyond belief (hehe :) that she was being consulted about colleges as I registered for the ACT!! And now this....
Ooh!! Exciting!!! We went to Wright College's big parking lot and practiced. I practiced going around a garbage can, backing into parking spaces, braking for turns, and it was very fun. Dad even let me listen to music at the end. I love driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad is hilarious.

Today

It is beautiful outside today. The grass is so green, and the sunlight is lovely, and the wind is so pleasant when you're riding in the car with the windows down. I love that feeling. When it's so warm outside and the window is down, there's good music on the radio, and the window is lovely without being cold. Wahoo! I could drive forever.

And actually, I did...but that will come later.

We went to Coldstone! This is the best ice cream EVER! It was kind of a reward for grades--I think maybe last quarter's grades, though. I have to say, I might not feel too bad about reminding my parents how behind we are on the good grades ice creams...

I got my usual: a mix of cake batter and cheesecake ice cream with a brownie mix-in. And we went to the one in Oak Park, so we were surrounded by pleasantness -- the pleasant grass, the pleasant sunlight, the pleasant breeze, the pleasant...um...thoughts (that works, right?)

Missing the mac

I think that I am missing the mac. Recently, I was using an apple to make a slideshow for the formal of our missions trip to Nashville, and now, back to my Windows state, I miss it. I miss the ease of going from Window to window. F11 makes all the windows hide, so you can get what you want off the desktop. Putting the mouse to the top left of the screen (or F9 or something) makes all the windows smaller and invidual so that you can see all of what you have open. I found myself going to do that automatically, and then realizing that NO, IT WON'T WORK.

SLAP HAPPY

Jinny and I had a request. It was 12:30 in the morning, and we were both still looking forward to about two hours more of homework (aahhhh - paper!!)

My dad was going to the store, and I requested ice cream. Chocolate ice cream. Result:
Oh dear, I just realized this isn't very interesting.

Some Answers

So, I got an interview e-mail from Emery!! (I'm so glad I almost know you, Emery! =)

1. If you could ask God one question, what would it be?

I think at the moment there would be a tendency to ask when I'm supposed to graduate, what I should do between high school and college and where I should go to college; but I think that I will feel differently in a few years...

I think I might ask Him why He made me the way He did. To have more of a window to see more specifics of my purpose; but I guess Jesus always takes us on journeys where He has to teach us to trust Him and wait on Him, and I have a feeling He's going to do that in my life, too! But it'll be great!

I think more than asking one particular question, I would like to just be with Him. To be totally, without hindrances, nothing in between us with Him, able to hear his voice and feel His arms. To hear and fully believe and be surrounded by His love.

2. What did you want to be when you were a little girl?

A DOCTOR!!! I wanted to be a doctor sooo bad. I still think it would be awesomely fun, but now my biggest dream is to be a full-time mom. But the two might end up being mixed together.

3. Favorite Scent

I LOVE Bath & Body Works. I like coconut lime verbana, jasmine vanilla, warm vanilla sugar, and lots of others, but I think my favorite at the moment is Black Raspberry Vanilla.

4. The last song that made you cry.

I think maybe "Picture of Your Love" (http://www.myspace.com/ihopkcmusic; it's not up on there right now, but it might be sometime soon, and it's from the same cd that the current songs are from). Or "Stand in the Rain." by Superchic[k]. (http://www.superchickonline.com/index2.html) There was probably some other one that I can't remember right now.

5. What is the one piece of clothing that you have owned the longest?

That's a hard one...oh! I got it!!

I have had this shirt since I was about seven (and now it fits me... lol)
Underneath the [bright purple] sunflower, it says: Have a Nice Eternity...Ps. 16:11

Now that you've read my interview, you call play along!
Here's what you do:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

On the side of my nose

It sounds like a song: "On the side of my nose~~~"

Um, the side of my nose is doing poorly. During our gym class (which was minus-Mr. Pan and therefore quite a bit scattered), the first thing that happened when I walked onto the court was a ball got thrown, it got mad at me, and decided to smack me in the face.

Well, usually you get hit by the ball, you wonder if you have a nosebleed, you never do, and you play again. Well, maybe it started that way for me, but I soon had what I call a "basketball-burn." I'm wondering...is it fractured, or something crazy like that, but no...it's a basketball burn. The receptionist said that it's probably something like a rug burn, just done by a basketball and on my nose!!

I don't know what the crazy thing is... it was bleeding a little while ago, like a cut. It makes my nose feel pressured inside. When will it go away? Plus -- it's in every picture that I take. As exampled here:

I don't care that much...but it's interesting...
