Conundrum

There are so many amazing, spiritual things I could write about. My heart is literally overflowing, but at the moment I have one serious problem.

I am tired. Very, very tired. Also, I feel kinda sick.

This week has been incredibly intense, and today I have a class (I already had one this morning also) and then a study group and then a master class (fancy! not really) and then work and then babysitting, and...

I'm thinking about skipping class to take a nap. Don't judge. Yesterday I almost skipped French class to finish a paper, but I didn't. I feel like I've racked up didn't-skip points, which maybe just maybe I could redeem today? I even told my dad yesterday that I was thinking of skipping and he just said "I understand." Also, my French teacher found out I had a paper, and she gave me joke extra credit points for coming to class! That's always good, right?

I'm not saying I think it's okay to skip classes all the time. Just maybe some of the time. :)

Too bad my Russian Revolution teacher doesn't know about joke extra credit points. I should probably just go read and prepare for the quiz. *bangs head on table*

What about you? Did you skip classes in college? Or even now - do you ever just stop yourself and think "wait a minute, I just can't do all of these things because my body may collapse or implode or something of the sort?" Please tell me you've had that thought and that I am not a complete laz-o for being too tired to go to class.

Even though I'll probably go to class.

Classes? In College? I thought college was about other stuff while I went. I've told you before, I didn't even graduate and my GPA was 1.8 But, they still gave me a Master's Degree and my goal is to get an honorary doctorate before I'm 40. So, who cares if you skip class? I skipped 28 classes in one semester once (that's not total, that just happened to be that I went to 2 sessions of a 30 session class).

oh my gosh.. my major in college was practically Class Skipping. i did it a lot. it wasn't always a great idea, but i graduated all the same :) when spring hit, class was definitely a no go. the weather was just too nice! also, skipping classes my freshman year was how i taught myself to play guitar, and that's one of my biggest passions now. so i don't really regret it.. every time i skipped i did something awesome. :)

**disclaimer: this life is not for everyone if you actually want to get good grades in college. haha

I skipped once in a while--in weeks like this. As a college instructor it's easy to tell who the ditchers are versus the ones who once in a great while need to miss. I show a lot of grace to students like you. (And if they knew your wonderful heart they would probably show you more!)

That's totally the way life is, isn't it? EVERYTHING ends up in a big pile on ONE DAY, or worse, ONE WHOLE WEEK! You can do it! :) (I would have skipped something in your case, for sure.) I agree- I bet your profs adore you and know your intentions! You're in the clear...

Almost everyone in Oxbridge skips classes for papers sometimes. I've only skipped once or twice just for kicks, and it was a stats class that I'm pretty sure 7th graders could pass (other classes, I don't DARE think about skipping). So, it depends on the class, and you definitely have to make sure you aren't missing anything important, but skipping can be a VERY good thing sometimes.

i love the post here, and the comments! what a question annie. I just turned down a trip to my state capitol with a good friend because i'd be missing a class ... but i missed the class last week, so i figured i have no idea what will come up next week... hah. but last week i skipped with a mountain of peace, i had so much more fruit skipping than going. so imo, i think every case is different, and i suppose i'll borrow those poor humanistic words here "every man is master of his own fate." OR better, "the steps of a good (woman) are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way"
